Our Story

How Groom started

Our founder Toni has always been an animal lover. She had dogs growing up, volunteered at animal shelters, and wanted to be a veterinarian – to help animals. But in high school, a teacher convinced her she couldn't because she wasn't good at math. So she pursued a career in entertainment instead.

Years later, after raising her two boys, Toni decided to finally realize her dream of working with dogs. She took the massive risk of starting her own business. Many people thought she was crazy starting out as a single mom, taking out loans against her home to pave her path in the dog world.

It was terrifying at first. But now, Toni feels blessed that her dreams have been embraced by our West Hollywood community. She is proud to be a part of a team of the finest and most caring dog lovers in Los Angeles.

Toni believes that every dog deserves a nurturing and safe experience during grooming and daycare. All her life, she was stressed dropping her dogs to be groomed, so she wanted to create an environment where dogs would always be treated with the utmost respect and love. This place could provide dog owners with true peace of mind while their pups had fun.

That vision has evolved into Groom. Toni feels blessed to have recruited the finest and most caring groomers and dog care professionals in Los Angeles.
